Skyline World Travel is committed to protecting your Personal Information that you share with us. By using our website or the services offered by us, you are consenting to our use of such personal information as you provide to us as described herein. If you do not consent to our use of your information, please do not use our services.

This policy has been developed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Skyline World Travel recognises that your privacy is important to you. We only collect personal information that is necessary to assist us in providing the services you request. This personal information may include your full name, agency name, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address and street and postal address. We do not collect or hold sensitive information about you.

2. Information we may hold about you:

We therefore typically process the following types of personal information about you.

(a) Contact information (name, residential/mailing address, telephone number, email address).

(b) Passport details.

(c) Payment account information (credit/debit card details, including card type, card number, security number and expiry date).

(d) Information about your dietary requirements and health issues (if any).

3. Use of your personal information:

We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing travel related services, including:

(a) To make bookings with travel service providers, such as airlines, hotels and tours, on your behalf.

(b) To fulfil administrative functions associated with your purchase order, such as billing.

(c) To correspond with you in relation to the travel services you have requested.

(d) To provide you with promotional and marketing materials that may be of interest to you.

We will not sell our client database to third parties and will only use your personal information for the purpose for which it was provided or a related secondary purpose, unless you agree otherwise or the use and disclosure is permitted under the Privacy Act.

(a) As required or authorised by law, such as where unlawful activity has been engaged in, or is suspected of being engaged in, as required by law enforcement officials or agencies; and

(b) To travel service providers, such as travel wholesalers, tour operators, airlines, hotels and other service providers for the purpose of providing you with the travel services that you have requested.

Some of the travel service providers that we disclose your personal information to may be located outside Australia. The overseas travel service providers may not have privacy standards equivalent to the standards imposed in Australia. We do not exercise any control over the privacy practices of overseas recipients. If you do not consent to this you should not disclose your personal information to us.

5. Your personal information security:

We require our employee and contractors to perform their duties in a manner that is consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that paper and electronic records which contain personal information are stored appropriately and that access to those records can only be accessible to people within Skyline World Travel who have a genuine need to know your personal information.

We will review our security practices on a regular basis to determine if new and improved methods of storage can be achieved.

We take reasonable steps to:

You may request access to, or correction of, any of your personal information that we hold by contacting us. We will correct our records that contain your personal information as soon as practically possible, at your request in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

We do not generally charge a fee for processing a request to access your personal information or amend your personal information.

7. Electronic and social media integration:

Our websites may also contain links to third party websites over which we have no control over. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites and encourage you to read the privacy policies of any linked third party websites you visit.

Your interactions with these social media features is governed by the privacy policy of the third party company providing them.

By using our websites or our services you signify your assent to this privacy policy. *Please do not include your credit card number or other financial or sensitive information in your emails to us.
